Product history and connotation/ territory

The country tradition of fig jam, is renewed and enriched with walnuts and lemon, to give the palate inedited sumptuousness.

The fig tree, for the ease of its reproduction, seems to have been the first plant cultivated by people, 11,000 years ago in the area that goes from the Red Sea to the Persian Gulf.

In the Old Testament the fig tree, together with the grapevine, was a symbol of fertility and joyful life.

Today it is part of the Mediterranean landscape. Its harvest takes place at full maturity with the whole peduncle, in the hottest and driest hours of the day.

These fruits, rich in sugar, minerals and vitamins, are easily digestible, can be eaten fresh or dried, included in sweet recipes (cakes, ice cream, jams) or savory (various appetizers).

Tasting instructions
To be used for breakfast, in combination with cheeses and for filling cakes.

Ingedients
Figs 50%, sugar, nuts 10%, lemon juice, cinnamon, gelling agent: pectin.
May contain traces of milk, celery and nuts (pistachio, almonds, walnuts).
