Product history and connotation/territory 
The cultivation of artichokes dates back to Egyptian times up to the Romans.

Only at the beginning of the '400, are the first crops recorded in Sicily.

The "Violetto di Sicilia", instead, was cultivated at the end of the 800 in the south-eastern part of the island.

The optimal climate and the fertility of the Sicilian soils, favored the production and the greater exportation in Italy and abroad.

Tasting instructions
It is recommended to use it as an appetizer on toasted bread and croutons, for the creaming of risottos and first courses.

Artichokes 85%, sunflower oil, extra virgin olive oil, parsley, chilli, oregano, salt, garlic, white wine vinegar (sulphites), acidifiers: citric acid, ascorbic acid. 
May contain traces of milk, celery and nuts (pistachio, almonds, walnuts).
